Dance drama: Chang E
Based on the Chinese mythology "Chang E Flying to the Moon," dance drama "Chang E" tells a story that Chang E, Goddess of the Moon, and her husband Hou Yi, a benevolent archer, are separated by Pang Meng, who was jealous of Hou Yi. The plot will focus more on the character Chang E and her inner emotions.
Presented by the Shanghai Opera House Dance Troupe, the dance drama combines elements of classical Chinese dance, traditional opera and ballet, as well as some of Shanghai's local elements.

Concert presented by Vladimir Fedoseyev and Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra
Among Russian musicians, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s name is one of the brightest. Established in 1930, the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra was named after this influential composer in 1993 for the genuine and deep interpretations of his works. Vladimir Fedoseyev has been the artistic director and chief conductor of the orchestra since 1974.
During this concert, audiences will hear an authoritative interpretation of Tchaikovsky's "Symphony No. 4 In F minor, Op. 36" and "Symphony No.5 in E minor, Op.64", having a "dialogue" with the master.

Soprano Anna Netrebko in Recital
The internationally renowned soprano Anna Netrebko will meet art lovers in Guangzhou on October 4 for the first time. Netrebko has performed widely at many leading opera houses, and was described as "the most dazzling international opera star after Pavarotti" by the music magazine Opera News and has been praised by the New York Times as the "diva of opera."

Pipe organ concert featuring a lecture
This concert will feature pipe organist Shen Yuan and Duan Zhiqiang, an associate researcher at the Institute of Literature and History, Fudan University, combining music and knowledge in the form of "lecture + performance".
With Shen Yuan playing several classical pieces, they will unfold splendid chapters of Chinese and Western music and global folk music, illustrating the influence of social, economic, and philosophical factors on music.

Berliner Barock Solisten & Diyang Mei
The Berliner Barock Solisten from the Berliner Philharmoniker is going to present a feast of Baroque music to the Guangzhou audience, with violist Diyang Mei as soloist. Diyang Mei received the position of first principal viola at the Berliner Philharmoniker last year, which is the first time a Chinese musician has been given a position with this orchestra.
