Over 600 kinds of Chinese herbal medicine, a 15-meter tall wall of Chinese herbal specimens, century-old cinnamon, 50-year-old ginseng… They can all be seen in the Guangdong Chinese Medicine Museum. After a year of renovation, the museum reopened to the public on July 5.

A new Lingnan Chinese medicine hall, an acupuncture hall and a medical center have been added. Some new technologies such as touch interaction, tangible and embodied interaction, dynamic projection and virtual reality (VR) have also been equipped, offering a better experience of TCM culture to visitors.
Established in 2006, the Guangdong Chinese Medicine Museum is the largest traditional Chinese medicine museum in South China, featuring over 20,000 pieces of TCM cultural relics and rare specimens and highlighting Lingnan's TCM culture.
At the Lingnan Chinese herbal medicine immersion samples display area, known as the "Crystal Palace of Chinese Medicine", 600 bottles of delicate and colorful immersion samples of Lingnan Chinese herbal are displayed. With more than 2,000 specimens, the Chinese medicine hall, the largest Chinese herbal medicine specimen center in South China, is worth visiting as well.

Moreover, the medical history exhibition hall showcases more than 2,000 medical historic relics and documents from primitive society to the present, displaying Lingnan's unique medical achievements. In addition, visitors can also enjoy a special exhibition lasting until October 7 to review the history and achievements of modern TCM education in Guangdong.
