The Second Ginger Lotus Cultural Festival is currently being held at the Baiyun Anti-Drug Theme Park, featuring over 50 varieties of ornamental ginger plants, more than 70,000 ginger lotuses, as well as intangible cultural heritage works themed around ginger lotus. The event will last until the end of this month.
It is reported that this year's festival showcases 52 new and excellent varieties of ornamental ginger plants, including 15 rare species, some of which are displayed to the public for the first time.
This year, the planting area of ginger lotus at the Baiyun Anti-Drug Theme Park has reached 3,000 square meters, doubling the area compared to last year. Additionally, the park has introduced a new landscape wall of intangible cultural heritage, displaying national-level intangible cultural heritage works, such as inlaid porcelain and paper-cutting. One of the inlaid porcelain works, with the background of the Flower City (Guangzhou), depicts the blooming scene of ornamental ginger plants, attracting many tourists.
