The second phase of the 135th Canton Fair will be held from April 23 to 27, with a total area of 515,000 square meters, 24,658 booths, and 9,820 participating companies. Among them, 936 branded enterprises will set up 5,150 branded booths. More than 1,100 companies will participate in the fair for the first time.
With the theme "Quality Home Life," the second phase will focus on 15 exhibition areas for household goods, gifts, decorations, building materials, and furniture. Among them, the exhibition area for building materials and furniture is nearly 140,000 square meters, with 6,448 booths and 3,049 exhibitors; the exhibition area for household goods covers over 170,000 square meters, with 8,281 booths and 3,642 exhibitors; the exhibition area for gifts and decorations is nearly 200,000 square meters, with 9,371 booths and 3,740 exhibitors.
As of April 18, enterprises participating in the second phase had uploaded a total of 1.08 million exhibits on the online platform, including 300,000 new products, 90,000 independent intellectual property products, 210,000 green and low-carbon products, and 30,000 smart products.
Regarding the import exhibition, a total of 220 enterprises from 30 countries and regions will participate, including exhibitor groups from Türkiye, the Republic of Korea, India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Thailand, Egypt, and Japan. The focus of the import exhibition will be on the display of kitchen utensils, household goods, and gifts. Among them, 144 enterprises from 18 BRI partner countries, including the Republic of Korea, Türkiye, Egypt, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Ghana, will attend the import exhibitions, accounting for 65 percent.
Moreover, on April 24, a pairing event for household goods buyers and suppliers will be held at the Canton Fair Complex. The event plans to select enterprises selling kitchen utensils, household goods, and gifts from Germany, Italy, Japan, and the Republic of Korea to display their products and, at the same time, invite professional import and export traders and buyers to attend.
