In collaboration with CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive, Guangzhou Metro Group unveiled their latest green intelligent urban rail trains in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, on Monday.
The trains incorporate 38 leading new technologies and feature characteristics such as safety, reliability, advanced intelligence and green energy efficiency, according to Gao Yang, deputy manager of the new line construction and preparation department at Guangzhou Metro Group.

"As a new generation of low-carbon and environmentally friendly urban rail vehicles, the green intelligent urban rail trains play a crucial role in enhancing the innovation capabilities of autonomous products in urban rail transit, helping accelerate the industrial scale-up and standardization of urban rail transit equipment," said Gao.
The trains are equipped with an electromechanical braking system, which can improve the response efficiency by approximately 30 percent compared to traditional air brakes.

They utilize various new energy-saving and environmentally friendly technologies, allowing them to achieve energy savings of over 15 percent compared to traditional vehicles with asynchronous traction systems.
The trains have OLED windows, hearing-impaired assistance, intelligent temperature and dehumidification control, smart lighting adjustment and USB/wireless charging.

Some compartments in the trains are fitted with electric folding seats. Folding the seats during peak travel times can increase passenger capacity.
The vehicles will be used on the city's metro line 12, which is currently under construction, according to Gao.
