During the Double Ninth Festival, to ensure safe and orderly traffic around several scenic areas, Guangzhou traffic police will implement temporary traffic control measures on certain roads.
Baiyun Mountain
Baiyun Mountain
From 6:00 pm on October 10 to 7:00 am on October 12, vehicles will be prohibited from entering Baiyun Mountain (except for police patrol vehicles, fire trucks, ambulances, engineering rescue vehicles, vehicles belonging to enterprises, public institutions, and government agencies on Baiyun Mountain, and vehicles with special permits).
From 6:00 pm on October 10 to 7:00 am on October 12, vehicles will be prohibited from entering Yunshan South Road (from Guangyuan Road intersection to the southern gate of Baiyun Mountain), Hengzhigang Road (north of the tunnel's south entrance), Lianquan Road (north Guangyuan Road intersection), and Yunquan Road (except for police patrol vehicles, fire trucks, ambulances, engineering rescue vehicles, buses, vehicles belonging to enterprises, public institutions, and government agencies on Baiyun Mountain, and vehicles with special permits).
From 6:00 pm on October 10 to 7:00 am on October 12, freight vehicles over 1.5 tons will be prohibited from driving on Guangyuan Expressway (west of Keyun Road intersection), Guangyuan Road (east of Airport Road intersection), Baiyun Road South, and Dajinzhong Road.
Additionally, from 6:00 pm on October 10 to 2:00 am on October 11, and from 6:00 pm on October 11 to 2:00 am on October 12, freight vehicles will be prohibited from driving on Guangyuan Road (from Guangzhou Road North to Dajinzhong Road intersection).
Canton Tower
On October 10 and 11, starting at 6:30 pm each day until the following early morning, traffic control will be implemented as needed on Binjiang East Road (from Canton Tower Road to Canton Tower Wharf) and Yiyuan Road (from Yizhou Road to Binjiang East Road), prohibiting vehicle access.
On October 10 and 11, starting at 8:00 pm each day until the following early morning, traffic control will be implemented as needed on Canton Tower Road, Yuejiang West Road (from Liede Road to Canton Tower Road), the southbound ramp from Liede Bridge to Shuangta Road, and Yizhou Road (from Youlin 1st Road to Chigang North Road), prohibiting vehicle access.
Huacheng Square
On October 10 and 11, starting at 8:00 pm each day until the following early morning, traffic control will be implemented as needed on Linjiang Road (from Huaxia Road to Xian Village Road, excluding underground areas) and Qingbo Road (east of Yuyu Street intersection), prohibiting vehicle access.
On October 10 and 11, starting at 8:00 pm each day until the following early morning, traffic control will be implemented as needed around Huacheng Square, within the area east to Liede Road, south to Qingbo Road and Haixinsha Island, west to Guangzhou Road, and north to Huacheng Road, prohibiting vehicle access.
Lotus Hill
Parking will be prohibited from 9:00 am on October 10 to 2:00 am on October 11. This includes all of Ximen South Road, all of Ximen Middle Road, the 100 meters east of the Lianhua Middle Road and Ximen Middle Road intersection, and the section of Lianhua West Road between the Lianwei Road intersection and Ximen Middle Road intersection.
From 7:30 pm on October 10 to 2:00 am on October 11, traffic control will be in effect. Specifically, Ximen South Road will allow only one-way traffic from south to north. Ximen Middle Road will allow one-way traffic from south to north. Vehicles will be prohibited from entering Lianhua West Road from the direction of Fuliang East Road heading east (towards the west gate of Lotus Hill Resort), except for buses. Based on traffic flow, the Gangkou Road and Hai'ou Highway intersection will be temporarily closed, prohibiting west-to-east vehicles from turning left onto Hai'ou Highway. These vehicles must proceed straight toward the Lianhuashan Port direction and make a U-turn further ahead to access Ximen South Road. Lian'gang Road, Shiqing Road, Shilian Road, and Yayun Road will implement traffic diversion measures based on the flow of traffic. Vehicles entering the Lotus Hill Resort must enter from the west gate and exit from the north gate.
Only vehicles with a mountain access permit will be allowed to enter the Lotus Hill Resort. It is recommended that citizens use public transportation whenever possible. Those driving to Lotus Hill Resort are encouraged to use nearby parking lots to avoid congestion.
During the temporary traffic control period, parking will be prohibited on the mentioned restricted roads, and public transport routes and stops passing through these areas will be temporarily adjusted.
