Update: 2024-09-23     Source: Yangcheng Evening News

Guangzhou People's Art Center will be put into operation on September 22nd and begin welcoming the public on September 24th. The center will be open from Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and will be closed on Mondays. Admission is free, except for special exhibitions. The center will also periodically host guided tours featuring renowned artists. Located at the former site of the Guangzhou Museum of Art, the main building is not only fully functional but also visually stunning, making it a remarkable venue that seamlessly blends architecture with its surroundings while offering comprehensive exhibition and performance facilities.

Individual visitors to the center will not need to make reservations after it opens. However, groups of 10 or more must book in advance through the official mini-program at least three working days prior to their visit.

Guangzhou People's Art Center is located at No. 13 Luhu Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, on the former site of Guangzhou Museum of Art. It is overseen by the Guangzhou Yuexiu Federation of Literary and Art Circles and is designed to serve as a welcoming space for artists, a hub for the public's engagement with the arts, and a center for cultural innovation. The center aims to be a significant platform for cultural activities in Guangzhou, enhancing the city's cultural identity and serving as an important venue for cultural exchange within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and beyond.

Guangzhou People's Art Center was designed by Mo Bozhi, a renowned architect and Academician of CAE Member. It covers an area of 20,300 square meters, with a total construction area of 39,948 square meters, featuring 19 exhibition halls. The complex is designed with varying heights and includes distinctive elements such as twelve floras columns, eaves tiles in the Qin and Han Dynasties, and pig-headed dragon stone carvings, all showcasing Lingnan architectural characteristics. Every angle offers a picturesque view!
