To cope with the increasing number of passengers during weekday rush hours, two more trains will be added to the Jiahewanggang (嘉禾望崗) to Dongfeng (東風) section of Guangzhou Metro Line 14from May 22, shortening the average train interval by 40 seconds. The top speed of the additional trains will be 120 kilometers per hour.
During the morning rush hours, the train interval from Xialiang (夏良) to Jiahewanggang is reduced to four minutes and 45 seconds, while on Fridays, the train interval from Jiahewanggang to Dongfeng is four minutes and 40 seconds during evening rush hours.
The train schedules of Metro Line 14 at weekends remain unchanged.
