Recently, according to the official WeChat account of the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, named "廣州健康通", its mini program on WeChat has added the Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card as one of the valid documents. This means that expats with this document can now make online medical appointments.
Steps for eligible expats to make online medical appointments:
1. Follow the official WeChat account or WeChat mini program named "廣州健康通" (pinyin: guang zhou jian kang tong).
2. Log in to an account on the mini program.
3. Choose "外國人永久居留身份證" (Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card) from the list of valid documents and then fill in the required information to complete the account registration.
4. After creating an account, click "預約掛號" or "當天掛號" to choose a hospital, department, and doctor for your appointment. You will need to pay the registration fee.
Currently, this service is available in 17 medical institutions in Guangzhou, including the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University, Guangzhou First People's Hospital, Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center, and Guangzhou Institute of Dermatology. In the future, more medical institutions in Guangzhou will also apply for this service.
