Guo Yonghang, secretary of the CPC Guangzhou Municipal Committee, led a delegation visiting Thailand and Vietnam from March 29 to April 3, aiming at in-depth discussions and further cooperation between Guangzhou and cities of the two countries.
During the visit in Thailand, Guangzhou's delegation and senior Thai officials expressed their willingness to comprehensively strengthen practical cooperation in various fields such as manufacturing, agriculture, trade, culture, tourism, and education. Both sides agree to further upgrade the level of talent exchanges and make business environmen convenient for investments.
Guo Yonghang and Nirat Pongsitthavorn, governor of Chiang Mai Province in Thailand signed an agreement on the Establishment of Friendly City Relations between Guangzhou and Chiang Mai.
Guo also met with overseas Chinese entrepreneurs in Thailand, visited the CP Group and GAC AION, and witnessed the signing of a cooperation memorandum between Guangzhou University and Chiang Mai University.
During the visit to Vietnam, Guangzhou's delegation and senior Vietnamese officials agreed to deepen cooperation in areas such as smart cities, rail transportation, economic and trade investment, ecological environmental protection, talent cultivation, science, education, culture, and tourism.
A cooperation agreement on training was signed between South China University of Technology and the Organization Department of the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Guangdong Museum of Revolutionary History and the Ho Chi Minh Museum also signed a cooperation agreement during a ceremony.
