On March 11th, a low-altitude economy conference themed “Low-Altitude Radar AI Algorithm Talent and Technology Seminar” was held at the Accelerator Park for Science and Technology Enterprises in Yunpu Street, Huangpu District, Guangzhou.
The seminar gathered top experts, including Anders Lindquist, a foreign member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and an academician from famous science academies in Europe, Sweden, and Russia, Professor Xue Quan from the School of Electronic and Information Engineering of South China University of Technology, and Professor Wang Congsi from the Guangzhou Institute of Technology of Xidian University, among over 40 Chinese and international experts and teams.
These high-level talents in the low-altitude field gathered to delve deeply into the challenges faced by the intelligent processing of new-generation radar data, further promoting the high-quality development of the low-altitude economy in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and advancing the technological progress of low-altitude radar AI algorithms.
Huangpu District has already gathered 50 enterprises covering the upstream, midstream, and downstream of the industrial chain in the field of the low-altitude economy, encompassing scenarios from design, research and development to manufacturing, as well as aerial logistics, aerial commuting, and smart city management.
Recently, the Guangzhou Development District / Huangpu District issued the Measures to Promote the High-Quality Development of Low-Altitude Economy in Guangzhou Development District / Huangpu District) and its policy implementation details, offering a maximum award of up to 30 million yuan for eligible low-altitude industrial projects.
During the conference, experts provided detailed introductions on low-altitude surveillance systems, intelligent information fusion laboratories, as well as new trends and applications in radar technology development.
Professor Anders Lindquist, the heavyweight guest of this event, has been serving as a full-time Chair Professor in the Department of Automation at Shanghai Jiao Tong University since 2011. After devoting himself to teaching and research at the university for ten years, he was elected as a foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2015.
The organizer of this event, Mikwave , is a national-level "little giant" enterprise that excels in professionalization, refinement, specialization, and innovation. Its products are widely applied in areas such as mobile communication, satellite communication, autonomous driving, and border and coastal defense.
Currently, the company holds over 100 items of independent intellectual property rights, with invention patents accounting for more than 80% of them. This collaboration between Mikwave and the team led by Professor Anders Lindquist will complement the low-altitude algorithm segment.
